THANK YOU!

Thanks to all those who attended MHA Celebrates the Arts!

On Nov. 10, the MHA Celebrates the Arts event was an unusual convergence of a songwriter, an author, and artists.  We debuted an intriguing music video at one of Dallas’ eclectic, historic theaters, The Kessler, to benefit a critical cause.

Click Here to view the "Hold on to Me" video which premiered at the event.

The music video features Nashville native, now Austin resident, Helen Darling singing along with creative interplay of real life story vignettes of hope in the battle with depression, suicide attempts and mental health.

The Song & Book:
The song in the music video is “Hold On to Me”, written by Dallas singer songwriter Brice Beard.  Brice was inspired to pen the song after reading the book, “Struck by Living,” written by Julie Hersh, another Dallasite who shared her struggles with depression, attempts at suicide and treatment that opened the door to hope.
