MHA offers several ways that you can help with your time and talent. Here are just a few volunteer opportunities
Speakers Bureau
The Speakers Bureau draws on the expertise of volunteer mental health professionals, social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists and others to present programs on a variety of topics. Contact: Sarah Bayley, Development Director at (214) 871-2420 x106.
Technical Assistance
Volunteers with expertise in a variety of fields are needed to provide knowledge, skills, and advice in specific areas such as: computers (hardware & software, systems, PCs, networking, web sites, etc.), marketing, public relations, human resources, systems analysis, fund development, and designing research studies. Advisory Councils
At either the Community level or the Clinical level the role of the advisory councils is to promote the agency; suggest ways in which to improve visibility, programs, and/or services; and to take an active role in the growth of the agency through volunteering.
